Please read these terms carefully before using JOOYAK. By accessing or using the platform you agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

1. About us

JOOYAK is a trademark registered with the Intellectual Property Office (IPO) of the United Kingdom under registration number UK00004058925. The platform is operated by BEK SERVICE LTD, company number 12590587, registered in England and Wales. We run an online directory that helps users discover local businesses and services across beauty, wellness, tutoring, food and more.

2. Definitions

  • Platform — the JOOYAK website and any associated mobile applications.
  • User — any person who accesses or uses the Platform, whether as a visitor, registered user, or business owner.
  • Business — a registered business profile on the Platform, created by its owner.
  • Ad — a service or product listing published by a Business on the Platform.
  • Business Owner — a registered User who owns and manages a Business on the Platform.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By using the Platform you confirm that all information you provide is accurate and that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract.

4. User accounts

Users agree to:

  • Provide accurate personal details when registering.
  • Keep their account credentials secure and notify us immediately if they suspect unauthorised access.
  • Use the Platform only for lawful purposes.
  • Not impersonate another person or misrepresent their affiliation with any business.

5. Business accounts and ads

Business Owners must submit an application to list their business on JOOYAK. We reserve the right to approve or reject any application at our sole discretion.

Business Owners agree to:

  • Provide accurate, truthful descriptions of their business and every Ad they publish.
  • Hold all licences, qualifications and insurance required by law to deliver the services described in their Ads.
  • Keep their business information up to date, including contact details and operating hours.
  • Comply with all applicable UK consumer protection and trading standards legislation.
  • Not publish any Ad that falls within our Prohibited Content rules (see clause 7).

Business Owners are independent third parties and not employees or agents of JOOYAK. JOOYAK does not endorse any Business and is not responsible for the quality or legality of any service or product advertised.

Each User account may be linked to one Business. Operating multiple Business accounts without our written consent is prohibited.

6. Search and discovery

JOOYAK provides search and browse functionality to help Users find Businesses and Ads. Search results are determined by relevance, category, and location. JOOYAK does not guarantee any particular ranking or visibility for any Business or Ad.

Any arrangement between a User and a Business — including contact, purchase, or service delivery — is made directly between those parties. JOOYAK acts solely as a directory and is not party to any contract between Users and Businesses.

7. Prohibited content

The following are not permitted on the Platform:

  • Any illegal service, product, or activity.
  • Adult or sexually explicit content.
  • Services or products that discriminate on grounds of race, religion, gender, disability or any other protected characteristic under the Equality Act 2010.
  • Counterfeit, stolen or unlicensed goods or services.
  • Spam, fake reviews or any attempt to manipulate the Platform's search or trust systems.
  • Contacting other users to facilitate activities that violate these terms.
  • Services involving regulated financial advice, legal advice, or medical diagnosis unless the Business holds the appropriate UK licence or qualification.
  • Food products advertised without the required food hygiene registration and allergen labelling (Natasha's Law compliance).

Profile images and Ad photos must be relevant to the business or service offered. The following are not permitted in any image uploaded to the Platform:

  • Political symbols, party affiliations, or content expressing a political opinion.
  • Religious opinion or imagery that could be viewed as discriminatory or divisive.
  • Nudity, sexually suggestive content, or anything of a sexual nature.
  • Content that discriminates on any grounds protected under the Equality Act 2010.
  • Violent imagery, weapons, or content that glorifies or incites violence.

We reserve the right to remove any Ad, Business, or content and suspend or terminate any account that violates these rules, without notice and without liability.

8. Account suspension and termination

JOOYAK may suspend or terminate any account, with immediate effect, if:

  • The User breaches any term of this Agreement.
  • We reasonably suspect fraudulent, illegal, or harmful activity.
  • A Business Owner receives repeated complaints or is found to be operating in a manner that damages JOOYAK's reputation.
  • A Business fails to maintain accurate and up-to-date information.

9. Reviews and content

Users may post reviews and other content on the Platform. You grant JOOYAK a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, display and distribute that content in connection with the Platform. You confirm that any content you post is accurate, does not infringe third-party rights and does not violate these terms.

JOOYAK may remove or edit any content at its sole discretion.

10. Intellectual property

All trade marks, logos, software, design and content produced by JOOYAK are owned by or licensed to JOOYAK. You may not copy, reproduce or use them without our prior written consent.

By uploading images, descriptions, or other content to JOOYAK, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display and promote that content on the Platform and in our marketing materials. You confirm that you own or have the right to use all content you upload.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, JOOYAK is not liable for:

  • The quality, safety or legality of any service or product advertised by a Business.
  • Any loss or damage arising from a User's interaction with a Business found on the Platform.
  • The accuracy of information provided by Businesses in their profiles or Ads.
  • Indirect or consequential losses, including loss of revenue or data.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.

12. Business Owner responsibilities

Tax and self-employment

Business Owners are solely responsible for declaring and paying any income tax, National Insurance, VAT, or other taxes arising from their activities. JOOYAK does not provide tax advice or withhold tax on your behalf.

Food and allergen compliance

If your Business advertises any food product — including baked goods, home-cooked meals, or packaged food — you must hold a valid food business registration, comply with Natasha's Law (full allergen declaration), and maintain Food Standards Agency hygiene standards.

Qualifications and insurance

For regulated services (beauty treatments, personal training, tutoring, childcare, etc.) you must hold any required qualifications, certifications, or licences, and maintain appropriate public liability insurance. JOOYAK may request evidence at any time.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify registered users by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of the Platform after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising under them will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence give you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
